I had a really lovely afternoon last Saturday leading a workshop on Freestyle Watercolour with fellow artists from Clwydian Art Society. With our intention set for a fun exploration of how to work loosely with watercolour we had a really relaxing afternoon. We played with mingling watercolour washes and adding marks and texture intuitively and enjoyed some absolutely beautiful results as the paint was allowed to do its own thing.
I was delighted that the artists were so enthusiastic about this loose style of working with watercolour and inspired to practice more when they got home. I’m looking forward to some lovely paintings being posted on the CAS website gallery.
