Oil paintings are supplied professionally framed unless stated otherwise. Watercolour and pastel works are supplied without frames – with a mount and backing board, encased in a cellophane wrapper. This is owing to the difficulties involved in sending glazed pictures through the post.

This painting started with a desire to layer rich reds and other jewel colours, scraping back to reveal interesting textures and patterns in the layers beneath. The colours I chose so intuitively then suggested a real feeling of opulence, and a composition slowly emerged suggesting perhaps some luscious fruit, and then a vessel pouring forth golden bubbles of joy. A painting to evoke the richness and joy of life.
